When reading "Consider the Lobster" you feel sympathy for an animal that is considered a delicacy. The author does a great job making you feel sorry for what you unconsciously do on the regular. The genre of this article is a very interesting non-fiction piece. David Wallace titles this piece consider the lobster because in all honesty we don't consider the pain and suffering that this animal goes through for us to stuff our face with. Using footnotes Wallace does a great job referencing people with their ideas and opinions on the matter.
